A politician most obtuse
Will meddle where he serves no use.
With his sponsors and polls,
He has paper-thin goals,
Chasing the elusive golden goose.
Here’s a practice that raises red flag:
Placing hot drinks in a paper bag.
They slosh this way and that,
Where your good sense be at?
You’ll get burned while your pants act as rag.
It is no welcome sight to behold,
Food in fridge overtaken by mold,
It is a day dire,
When meals do expire,
Though for some stinky cheese is like gold.
Though he showed satisfaction ostensible,
He did find the meal reprehensible,
The meat stretchy and grey,
With a side dish like hay,
And a dose of cumin indefensible.
To dunk your food twice in the dip,
Is to of social stance lose your grip.
Such a clear party blunder,
Tears your good name asunder,
And to you no one will their hat tip.
It is the bane of my existence,
When to drinking one shows a resistance.
They fear they’ll be sick,
Thus forgetting the trick,
Is to practice with healthy persistence.
To inventors worldwide I’m beholden,
For creating amenities golden,
In my life and yours,
Such as plumbing indoors,
To make this day outshine those of olden.
